Activities during the Day

Largesse Derby at Spring Crown Tournament! As you know our Kingdom will celebrate its 30th anniversary in June this year. Many guests from near and far are expected. This is a great opportunity to show our Kingdom’s great Arts in small gifts. 

To replenish the gift baskets of the Kingdom and the Barony of Knight’s, we organize this derby.

Rules for Entry

All entrants must create 10 items that can be given out as Largesse immediately.
All items must be tagged with the name and group of the entrant and a short description of your item.
Documentation is not needed. This is not an A&S competition.
Fiber content and ingredients should be listed for any item that contains possible allergenes.
Items should not have specific heraldry on them as they are meant to be given out in different areas.
All entrants must register their entries with the organizer until Saturday, 10 am. 

Judging will be done by the “bean in the cup” method by the populace: Each entrant display will have a cup placed next to it and anyone may put a provided bean into the accompanying cup to denote their choice. The entrant with the most tokens in their cup at the end of the day is the winner. 

Prizes: The winner will be handed one item of every entry. Every other attendee can choose one item from a second batch of every entry. The rest of the items will be split between the Barony and the Kingdom gift basket. 

Items suitable for the largesse derby: Small non heavy items since someone has to transport them. Examples: 10 needle books, 10 children’s toys, 10 pairs of socks, 10 coifs, 10 illuminated cards, etc.

All archery and thrown weapons at Crown Tournament is on a drop-in, drop-out basis - Contestants may join when they can, and unfinished score sheets will be collected and scored at the end of the time period. Those who merely wish to shoot for practice are welcome! Some loaner bows and arrows will be available.

Morning (10:00 - 13:00)

Castle Defense - The Cream of Drachenwald's Nobility is distracted by determining who shall be heir to the throne. One outsider sees his chance to usurp the process through foul treachery! It is up to the kingdom's archers to protect the tournament and ensure the equity of the selection!

Afternoon (14:00-17:00)

A Test of Skill - For the honor of the Crown and their Heirs, the Archers of Drachenwald shall show their skill!

All day

5 card draw poker donation tourney - 1 euro per hand (5 arrows plus up to five more). Under 15 free. Shoot as many times as you want. Best hand splits the pot!

Thrown weapon Prize Tournament

Come throughout the day, and try your hand at throwing axes or knives! Loaner axes are available. Volunteers are always appreciated.
